Omaha Public Pools

June 4 Omaha Public Pools cityofomaha.org/parks Memorial Day signals the start of summer shindigs and backyard barbecues. But if you don’t have fun-filled activities planned for the little ones, chaotic kids could put a damper on your summer schedule. Thankfully, most Omaha public pools open June 4. According to cityofomaha.org, Omaha boasts one of the nation's best aquatic programs. In 2008, the city’s Parks & Recreation received the National Excellence in Aquatics Award. Omaha's accomplishments highlight both the physical improvements and the quality of aquatic staff currently managing the City's Facilities. And if your child needs help improving their swimming skills, the City offers American Red Cross Learn to Swim classes and water aerobics year round. With your choice of traditional pools, leisure pools and spray grounds, you and the kids will have plenty of fun under the sun this summer. So on the next stifling hot day, pack a picnic, grab the sunscreen and spend a fun-filled day at the pool. Your local pool could just be your saving grace for a very cool summer. Check out cityofomaha.org/parks to see when exactly the pool nearest to you opens.
