Nebraska Blues Challenge

In February the Lil’ Slim Blues Band competed in the Blues Foundation’s International Blues Challenge (IBC) in Memphis. The Lil’ Slim Blues Band made it into the top 44 bands competing in the semi-finals. The Blues Society of Omaha is ramping up to host the second annual Nebraska Blues Challenge (NBC) that will select the band going to the IBCs next winter. Nebraska bands have until April 5 to register to participate in this year’s NBCs, which will be conducted in April and May. The winner will represent the BSO at the 2013 IBCs. For details and registration information contact Michelle Olmstead at molmstead@cox.net. For general info on the IBCs visit blues.org.

Jazz, R&B & Funk
