May 26-28 Missouri Valley Conference Baseball Championship Tournament TD Ameritrade Park, 1200 Mike Fahey St. 7:00 p.m., tickets start at $17.59, 402.546.1800 or tdameritradeparkomaha.com Over the weekend our Creighton Bluejays (39-13, 15-6) swept the Missouri State Bears to give them their first MVC regular season championship since 2005 and a lockdown on the No. 1 seed for the MVC tournament played this week at the newly christened TD Ameritrade Park. The tournament began Tuesday (May 24) with three straight days of double elimination games. Friday's games will be played, if necessary, should the team with a single loss beat the undefeated team in each bracket. The Missouri Valley Conference will televise the title game Saturday with the first pitch to be thrown at 7 p.m. on area Fox Sports channels. If you can't make it to any games before the championship, you can get in on all the action live through the conference's new video streaming program.
