Farm fresh watermelons from Johnson Farms and Lambert melons are in stock at Tomato Tomato - Omaha’s Indoor Farmers Market. They are red and delicious for the end of summer. Tomato Tomato is located at 2634 South 156th Circle.  They are open from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Monday through Saturday and are closed on Sundays. Calling all Italians and for anybody who would like to be Italian for a weekend. It is the 28th Annual Festa Italiana this Labor Day weekend. Friday night, Saturday night and Sunday, you can eat, drink Italian wines, listen to music, dance, watch cooking demos, eat some more. And when I say eat. The menu reads cannoli, cheese bread, Italian sausage and peppers, mostaccioli and meatballs, pasta primavera, pizza, chicken Sicilian, biscotti…Are you hungry yet? The Festa Italiana is located at the National Guard Readiness Center, 3 minutes west of I-680 at the Irvington Exit on 116th and Rainwood Road. Tickets are $6.50 at the gate. Coming off of Omaha Fashion week, food brings on its own fashion with the event Sweet Couture, Chocolate Meets Runway.  On Sunday September 23rd from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m, you can taste and sample edible dessert fashions designed by Omaha Pastry Chefs. In addition, Sweet Couture will offer complimentary champagne for sipping and pastry demos.  Also during the event, there will be a chocolate fashion show featuring chocolate hats to coordinate with designer dresses and other chocolate surprises. Tickets are $35.00 and the event is being held at the Institute for the Culinary Arts at Metropolitan Community College on 32nd and Sorenson Parkway.
