Welcome to Movieha!

Episode Zero - Apologies and Disclaimers

You are about to embark on an ear journey. You will soon be able to divide your life into two distinct chapters: The time before you first heard Movieha, and the best time of your entire life. What is posted below is not our first episode. It's what we call "Episode Zero," and is really just us messing around with the format. This isn't to say that the talented Matthew Lockwood did not work his producer magic upon it, coaxing the segments into beautiful shape after we more or less verbally vomited into a laptop microphone for an hour. We wanted to post this as both a palate cleanser and as an appetizer (to keep the metaphors food-related).

Here's how this is going to go: Every Friday, we're going to be delivering new podcast goodness upon you. You can find that podcast here, you can subscribe to our podcast through iTunes (shortly, we're working on that), and will be able to listen directly at our main site (which we're also working on). Yes, those are a lot of things "still in production," but like we said, this isn't even technically episode one!

Throughout the week, you can still check back here for fun blog posts such as Things You Should Buy Me and Box Office Haikus, as those things don't translate great to radio. But as far as movie news, reviews, and other general internet goodness goes, you're going to let your eye holes rest while your ear buds work double time.

We're new at this and we desperately want to get better. If you have any ideas for new segments, if you love something, if you hate something, if you just want to talk, hit us up at .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address). You can also follow us on twitter at http://twitter.com/movieha and will soon be able to interact with us on our Facebook page. We intend to be everywhere you want us to be covering movie goodness of whatever sort you want.

This is a grand experiment for my good buddy (who is doing so, so much work for it you have no idea) and myself. We really hope the joy that we've had creating this comes across and we really, truly are looking to make this as good as we can, so please don't be shy about hitting us up.

Thus, without further ado, I give unto you: THE NOT REALLY FIRST EPISODE THAT IS KIND OF THE FIRST EPISODE THAT MAY OR MAY NOT HAVE TOO MUCH CONTENT INVOLVING THE WORDS "THICK" AND "MEATY"....ladies and gents, here is Movieha.

Oh, and this is an update: Joe Patrick of the incredibly awesome comic podcast Two-Headed Nerd (which you should listen to if you have even a passing interest in comics) caught a terrible, stupid mistake IN OUR VERY FIRST EFFORT! As it turns out, and I SWEAR I KNEW THIS, Joe Wright who directed Hanna is not the same human as Joe Johnston, who is directing Captain America. I blame 4 factors: 1 - the tire I blew an hour before we recorded. 2 - the boozes we drank. 3 - a lack of preparation. 4 - I really wanted to turn Matt into a goosebump over Captain America. Let this be further proof of how much work we have left to go before we're ready for prime time.
