Movieha - Omaha’s Movie Podcast (May 6)

Episode 2 - Giggle fits and battling Badlanders

Welcome back!

If you're one of the folks who have been kind enough to give our teeny-tiny little ole podcast a chance, thanks so much. The response to the first episode was really great, and we hope to keep you coming back for more. In this week's episode, Matt has an epic giggle fit, I yell way too loud in at least 3 spots, and we battle over whether Badlanders is a terrible movie or whether Badlanders is a wonderfully terrible movie. Enough reading, give the play button a click and meet me on the other side for some of the interactive elements from this week's episode.

Box Office Haikus

As promised, here are this week's box office predictions, in haiku style!

1.) Thor - $68 million
My love of Norse gods
is eclipsed by just one thing:
Natalie Portman.

2.) Fast 5 - $39 million
How fast is too fast?
When are things too furious?
Only The Rock knows...

3.) Something Borrowed - $13 million
A disclaimer lie!
A little more than "something"
was borrowed for this.

4.) Jumping the Broom - $12 million
A clever title
but I'd rather jump the shark
all things considered.

5.) Rio - $10 million
I don't like toucans.
It started out with Fruit Loops
and got worse from there.

Another Earth Trailer

If you're ready to see why I'm right to have been so indignant with Matt Lockwood's incessant chortling over what is clearly a heartfelt and dang good looking flick, please click play below and be mortified at the indignity that my co-host's snickering represented.

Marwencol Trailer

This is our Netflix Roulette pick of the week, and I have a feeling we may have struck gold on this one. It looks really haunting and yet whimsical, the type of documentary that just gets my engine revving. What? My engine runs on quality cinema, not $4 gas.

Okay gang, that's it for this week. Thanks again for all your support! We wouldn't be soldiering on without you.
