Haute City, Urban Wine Bar, Nebraska Beef Council

On Saturday, May 19, Check out Haute City at Midtown Crossings; an interactive pop-up shopping and food event that turns Omaha’s Turner Park into a stylish mecca. Sample, taste and shop from 12p.m. to 6p.m. Blanc Burgers and Bottles, Dante’s Pizzeria, Ingredient and Corkscrew Wine and Cheese are a few of the many options for food.  Admission is $10.  Visit for all other information. 

The Urban Wine Company (11th and Jones) has local live music and $5 cocktails every Thursday night in May from 7p.m. to 9p.m. Come over for Happy Hour from 4p.m. to 7p.m. Tuesday-Friday and all day Sunday with $3 house wine, $1 off beers and cocktails and a new bistro menu with traditional sushi roll specials. May is National Hamburger Month which is the perfect time for The Nebraska Beef Council to run their Best Burger of 2012 Contest...And the winner for best cheeseburger goes to Stella’s Bar and Grill located at 106 S. Galvin Rd, Bellevue; 2nd place went to Big Red Restaurant and Sports Bar located in Lincoln, Omaha, Fremont and Norfolk; Tommy Colina’s Tijuana Taxi Burger took 3rd place.
