2010 homicide rate outpaces last year

Two Tuesday homicides, the 30th and 31st this year, made 2010 deadlier than 2009 with 51 days still remaining. Two dead in shooting at 63rd and Boyd

Xavon Watson, 18, and Lendale Kyles, 21, died after being shot Nov. 7 near 63rd and Boyd St. Police have made no arrests. There have been 29 homicides in Omaha this year. There were 26 homicides at this time last year.

City fire finances a mess

How bad is the record keeping in the Omaha Fire Department? Cocaine deal led to Sanchez-Gonzales shooting

Three people were charged Oct. 27 with first-degree murder in connection with the shooting of Cesar Sanchez-Gonzales at his South Omaha auto repair business on Oct. 22.
