The world lost a legend and a huge influence on the direction of blues and rock music. The blues lost a hero, a mentor and a friend when B.B. King passed away May 14, at the age of 89. The official facebook.com/bbking posted the news early on May 15: “Mr. King passed peacefully in his sleep at 9:40 p.m. Pacific Time on May 14 2015.”
