I’m sorry, but from my perspective, a life not being lived artfully can never really be satisfying. Now maybe it’s because that’s from an artist’s perspective? Well, then maybe you’re an artist too? I’ve had three real art lessons in my life and I would like to publicly thank them for enriching my life with their perspective. Father Leland Lubbers for showing me the importance of portraying “non space” and numbers 2 and 3, the late great Kent Bellows who once showed me his depth behind the seemingly mundane symbolism of one of his paintings and even after his departure from this plane the admonition to start every day by sharpening one’s pencils. Thank you, Father Lubbers and Kent. Happy birthday, Maya! Create something. Futility, awareness, creativity. Futility, awareness, creativity. Futility, awareness, creativity.
