Bring on the Bulldogs. The newly minted Missouri Valley Tournament champion Creighton Bluejays (44-14) will face Georgia (31-30) on Friday in the first round of the NCAA Baseball Tournament. The Jays earned the second seed in the Corvallis, Ore., regional and got a fairly manageable draw if you want to think big and consider Creighton’s chances of making it back home for the College World Series. Georgia’s near .500 record is a bit deceiving considering that the SEC placed seven schools in the 64-team field, but the Bulldogs did end the season in a bit of slump, going 4-7 over their last 11 regular season games before losing to Florida in the SEC Tournament semi-finals. Should Creighton…

Cosmic Forecast, May 26th-June 1stWelcome further into Gemini. Fix up loose ends until the Gemini New Moon Solar eclipse June 1. Eclipses bring reversals. I’ll talk more then. Enjoy the Breath of Spring. I love you all. There are no mistakes if you do what you do for the experience. Peace and Love Shall Conquer All; the peace of the forest and the love that exists all around us. — MOJOPOPlanetPower.com GEMINI (5.21-6.21) Your power is in your subconscious way of knowing. Could it be that the chilly spring temperatures of recent weeks are giving way to the warmer summer season? Certainly longer days and more sunlight are evident. And if the shedding undercoats of our two German Shepherds are any indication, we could be in for a hot one. Both are leaving larger-than-usual chunks of fur around the house as they dispense with winter coats. Probably somewhere in folklore, there’s an old wives’ tale about predicting the summer season based on how much wool you get out of a spring lamb shearing or some such! As we enter the warmer days ahead, the season presents opportunities to make smarter choices regarding health; choices that may not echo those touted by profit-motivated…

Cosmic Forecast, May 19-May 25Goodbye Taurus, hello Gemini, on Saturday morning. Things lighten up as our mind wanders beyond such material concerns as food, shelter and subsistence/existence — if we’re able and lucky! Here come the winds of change to carry the songs. Let’s communicate, let’s speak our minds, and let’s (learn to) sing. Here are some tunes I’ll suggest for you to lighten up your plight as we continue into the light. — MoJoPoPlanetPower.com TAURUS (4.21-5.20) You’re happy! You’re sad? Mercury (intelligence and communication), Venus (love, balance, art and beauty) and Mars (energy and spark) are embarking on their journey through early Taurus, but alas, your season of Taurus is soon over. It’s over on Friday night. Ka Boom! Your song…

The two marquee games against Nebraska were nice showcases, but Creighton baseball’s biggest series yet at TD Ameritrade Park is on tap this Thursday, Friday and Saturday. The Jays took two of three from Evansville over the weekend, leaving them at 12-6 in the Missouri Valley Conference and 35-13 overall. Meanwhile, Missouri State swept Bradley to move into a tie for first place in the conference, setting up a winner-take-all series this week in Omaha for the regular season conference crown. Creighton has an outside chance at earning an at-large bid to the NCAA Tournament — their RPI was 49 heading into last weekend — and winning the MVC season title would make that a more realistic possibility should the…
