Another Shout Out for the 2nd Annual Omaha Beer Fest
Put Friday May 18 and Saturday May 19 on your calendars for the 2nd Annual Omaha Beer Fest in Stinson Park at Aksarben Village. There will be 150 different beers along with beer seminars and music. Your attendance will help support Parent Project Muscular Dystrophy. Go to www.showclix.com, type in Omaha Beer Fest and you’re ready to purchase tickets.

If you had $8,400, what would you buy?
Would 24 pounds of the Worlds Best Cheese make your list? According to the Washington Post, a 24 pound wheel of Dutch Vermeer, a low-fat gouda, was bought for $8400 by an Illinois dairy supplier at a fundraiser held for local cheese makers. The cheese beat out all other contenders and was awarded the highest title of World’s Best Cheese at the 2012 World cheese championship in Madison Wisc. last month.
