When it's all added up, America's War on Drugs has lasted longer than any sustained conflict in U.S.history and it may just account for more dollar expenditures and casualties, whether through death or incarceration or ruined lives, than all the nation's other wars combined. It touches all levels of society and has far-lasting consequences that cycle through families and communities over generations. The human stories caught up in this war are the focus of a new documentary by Eugene Jarecki that won the Grand Jury Prize at the Sundance Film Festival. Following the screening stay for a panel discussion featuring representativse from the Nebraska Corrections Youth Facility and the Douglas County District Court, as well as Impact One Community Connection founder Jannette Taylor. Empowerment Network facilitator Willie Barney moderates.
