My Morning Jacket have evolved from reverb-soaked, Americana-leaning indie rockers into a alternative rock juggernaut that jumps from folk to funk to slowburn soul and appeal to fans from record geeks to jam-band aficionados. Jim James leads the way with his dramatic vocal range that can hit falsettos and still turn on a classic croon. My Morning Jacket will be travelling with Band of Horses, another alternative country-rooted group of indie rockers, featuring their own vocal acrobat, Ben Bridwell. The Seattle band is on the road with My Morning Jacket right as their fourth studio album, Mirage Rock, hits the store shelves.
