Always a hit, Bemis’ 14th Annual Art Auction will take place October 20.  Opening this weekend, the month-long Auction Exhibition is a precursor to this big-time event including more than 300 pieces of contemporary art in all media from local, national and international artists in both the Underground and main galleries.  From pop artist Alex Katz to tattoo artist/apparel designer Don Ed Hardy to installation artist Anne Lindberg to ceramicist/painter Jun Kaneko; everything in the first floor and UNGERGROUND galleries is available to view online or to purchase at “buy-it-now” prices starting this weekend. This year, they are introducing a new digital bidding system to allow guests to track their bids from anywhere including their smart phones. All sales are reinvested back into the Center supporting exceptional artistic talent.
