Strategic Air and Space Museum,  28210 West Park Hwy, Ashland, Neb. 402.944.3100, $12 Adults; $6 Children; Members Free; Military & Senior Discounts, sasmuseum.com Gering, Nebraska’s Teresa Scanlan, holder of the 2011 Miss America Crown and the youngest winner in 74 years, can be found at the Strategic Air and Space Museum this Saturday for a public meet and greet. Scanlan has been an advocate for bringing attention to eating disorders, traversing the country on her platform "Eating Disorders: A Generation at Risk." She has first-hand experience with the widespread problem while helping a friend during high school recover from an eating disorder. Scanlan hopes to educate children and adults on the signs and risks of eating disorders, as well as how and where to get help for themselves or a loved one.
