Levi, PWF & KLB

Lincoln’s Levi William band represented the Blues Society of Omaha in the Blues Foundation’s International Blues Challenge in Memphis last week. While the band didn’t advance beyond the quarter-finals, they posted this update on Facebook: “We will not move on to the semi-finals here in Memphis. We can honestly say that we have made some new friends while down here at this great event and are so glad we had this opportunity to travel to this great blues city...We were winners just because we got to make this trip, and that cannot be denied.”

The Blues Society of Omaha is accepting entries for the next Nebraska Blues Challenge until the Feb. 18 deadline. The winner of this spring’s Nebraska Blues Challenge will represent the Blues Society of Omaha at the 2014 International Blues Challenge in Memphis. Visit NebraskaBluesChallenge.blogspot.com for rules and the entry form, or email NebraskaBluesChallenge@gmail.com to request the forms be emailed to you. (Full disclosure: I’m on the Blues Society of Omaha board.)
