Art crawls are great ways to discover a variety of Omaha’s art venues, and Joslyn Art Museum makes it easy for Young Art Patrons members. The museum’s Young Art Patrons 9th Annual Art Crawl takes place on Friday, May 17 at 7 pm. YAP members can shuttle free between artist galleries, art spaces, pop-up shows and artist studios. All others need to pay $25 per person. The physical tickets are not issued and tickets are non-refundable. The shuttles will be leaving Joslyn promptly at 7 pm, so please arrive by 6:45 pm. If you’re not a YAP member the admission price can be applied to a new or renewed membership, by calling Kenley Sturdivant-Wilson at (402) 661-3821. The stops for this spring’s crawl include Gallery 72, Apollon, Opera Omaha, Soul Kitchen Gallery at Maud Boutique, and a YAP Pop-Up Show at inCOMMON Community Development. With complimentary hors d’oeuvres and beverages available at each gallery stop, the reminder this is a 21 and older event encourages everyone to please drink responsibly. Joslyn’s Young Art Patrons like the idea of giving back and are collecting children’s art supplies for area community schools. Donations are encouraged that night and at all future YAP events.
