Hullabaloo
The second annual Hullabaloo Music & Camping Festival is Aug. 3-5 at River West Park, 233 & W. Maple, near Waterloo. Brandon Miller of Kris Lager Band has organized an ambitious three days of music featuring a variety of genres. Blues rock guitarist Walter Trout headlines the Sunday, Aug. 5, line-up with a 7 p.m. set. Weekend passes are $60 at the gate, day passes are $20, kids under 12 get in free with a paid adult. Olney & Webb
Hard-hitting, ingenious songwriter-performer David Olney and virtuoso instrumentalist Sergio Webb return to The Sunday Roadhouse series this Sunday, Aug. 5, 5 p.m. at The Side Door Lounge. The San Francisco Chronicle says, “In the tradition of Johnny Cash and Tom Waits, Olney has become a pioneer of the Americana music scene.” The Houston Press observes, “David Olney stands out like a jalapeno in a bowl of vanilla pudding.”

Lil’ Slim Blues Band hits Jazz on the Green, Thursday, Aug. 2, 7 p.m.
Kansas City guitarist-vocalist Samantha Fish, the national Blues Music Award winner for Best New Artist Debut, gigs at The 21st Saloon Aug. 2, 5:30-8:30 p.m.
Raw gut-bucket blues from Runny Nose Pete is at Gator O’Malley’s Aug. 2, 9 p.m., featuring the wicked guitar licks of Steve Byam.
