Grey Plume Opens, Daily Grub Relocates

* Fans of Daily Grub will be sad to hear it is moving to a new location yet to be determined. Owner Elle Lien sent an email to friends and family announcing the city’s plans to overhaul some plumbing near the restaurant’s current location at 20th and Pierce this coming spring. Lien is seeking alternative venues. Daily Grub was the Readers’ Choice 2010 winner for best new restaurant. Visit dailygrubomaha.com for more information. * The doors are slated to open soon at The Grey Plume at Midtown Crossing. It will be open for dinner only, starting Friday, Dec. 10 and will start serving the lunch crowd Monday, Dec. 13. Owned by local chef Clayton Chapman and Chicago-native Michael Howe, it will focus on contemporary American fare with food sourced locally and seasonally.
