Fearless, Flawless Box Office Predictions - 12/17

What a jam-packed weekend!!! I mean, daaaaaaamn. You couldn't have eeked out one of these movies opposite Narnia? With Black Swan going into heavier rotation, there are 3 movies of note...well, two movies of note and Yogi Bear. I'm calling it now: Tron is going to underperform. Not so much so that it's panicville, but it's not going to be the big social thing they were hoping for. The Fighter is also going to do better than people think. It's gonna have legs too, as it's a big crowd pleaser. Yogi Bear, on the other hand, is content to harm the eyes and minds of people who deserve it for going to go see a movie about Yogi Bear that looks like that. You know what, I'm in too good a mood to be grumpy sounding, so let's get to some haikus already!

Here's how I see it:

1.) Tron: Legacy - $39 million

It needs fifty mil to have a chance at success. It won't get that much.

2.) Yogi Bear - $25 million

Dammit, Timberlake! I expect this from Ackroyd, but not from you, dude.

3.) The Fighter - $18 million

Boxing works on screen, and yet somehow in real life, the sport is just gone.

4.) Narnia 3: Trip the Narnia Fantastic - $12 million

Looks like this is it. Poor showing killed the series. No resurrection.

5.) How Do You Know? - $12 million

It's not "how" I know, it's more about "what" I know. I know this is crap.

WILDCARD - Tangled - $9 million

Fairy tales kick ass. That may not sound too manly, But it is the truth.

Okay, that's it gang. Hope you have a holiday-tastic weekend filled with a Packers loss and followed by a Bears division-clinching win on Monday!

Follow me on Twitter because it's cool.
