FASH FLOOD

Summer is definitely in the air, can you feel it? Arriving with the season are a slew of new boutiques and salons to keep you looking fresh this summer. Check out a few of my top picks from all over the city.

Parlour 1887, 6068 Maple Street

Benson’s newest addition, Parlour 1887, is an Aveda concept salon with a classic feel. The salon only opened its doors on May 17th, but with an experience team of some of Omaha’s favorite stylists, it already feels like a neighborhood staple.

River City Social Club, 809 South 75th Street

In a city brimming with boutiques, menswear is definitely an under tapped market –until now. River City Social Club’s mission is to bring the high-quality, limited edition T-shirts, caps and footwear that you’re already purchasing online to the Omaha market.  RCSC will be open in the next few weeks, so be sure to pop in and check it out if you’re in the midtown area or after your next tattoo appointment at Liquid Courage (they’re right downstairs).

Maud Boutique, 521 North 33rd Street

Last week I spotted a sheer, pale blue ‘50s frock on Maud Boutique’s Facebook page, making me certain that they'll soon become one of Omaha’s top vintage boutiques. Maud hasn't announced an opening date yet, but keep up with them on Facebook at facebook.com/maudboutique for an opening announcement early this summer.

    Statement, 3612 North 165th Street

After a tremendously successful year, womenswear boutique Statement recently expanded their shop to include menswear. Next time you’re in northwest Omaha check out Statement’s all new line, available now at their expanded location.

Lion’s Mane Vintage, 6607 Maple Street

Lion’s Mane Vintage didn’t skip a beat when they took over Paperdoll’s old space in Benson (find Paperdoll in their larger new space at 6107 Maple Street). This vintage boutique provides one-of-a-kind, hand-picked clothing and accessories for both men and women, along with original home décor items and special oddities found on their buying trips.
