–Blatt Beer is now open in time for the College World Series.  Open daily from 11:00 a.m., The Blatt is serving a limited menu during the CWS but they do have their full collection of over 59 beers available.  Also, Zesto will be serving ice cream items from the window on the south side of the building. –Mark your calendars for Food and Spirits Magazine's 4th installation of Pizza tasting.  "Omaha's Largest Pizza Review, Part 4" will be at the Waiting Room on Monday night June 25.  This event is sponsored by Food and Spirit Magazine which is Omaha's premier guide to all things food and spirit from the Omaha metro and surrounding areas and will also include music from Andrew Bailie and Matt Cox.  Admission is $10 at the door. There will be over 14 restaurants waiting for their pie to be judged.  The Pizza review will begin at 6:00 p.m. but the tasting will start at 7:00 p.m.  Those attending the event will vote for their top three pizzas as well as a panel of judges from Food and Spirit Magazine. The winners will be announced in the upcoming issue of Food and Spirits Magazine and in the Reader.  This event has sold out the last three years so come early and get ready to judge. This is a benefit event with this years proceeds helping the The Heartland chapter of the American Culinary Federation which provides young culinarians the opportunities to further their skills through seminars, competition, research and professional development.
