Taste of Omaha, Lot 2, Blatt Beer and Table and Absolutely Fresh Seafood

Taste of Omaha runs this weekend, June 1-3, from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Sunday. This outdoor food festival is free to the public with over 50 restaurants offering a “taste” of their cuisine. In addition, there are 5 entertainment stages, activities for kids and a cooking stage with demos and presentations from local chefs. Taste of Omaha is located at the Heartland of America Park on 8th and Farnam and the Lewis and Clark Landing at 515 N. Riverfront Drive. For more information you can visit www.tasteofomaha.com

Absolutely Fresh Seafood is moving it’s downtown location at 18th and Leavenworth after 27 years. The new location will be next to Shucks Downtown at 1911 Leavenworth. I did not measure myself but Absolutely Fresh Seafood says that’s about 150 yards to the west. I’d still say they are moving up and should be open and back in business soon after the Memorial weekend.

Lot 2 in Benson is opening an outdoor patio for those of you who enjoy dining under the stars. According to Lot 2, the patio should be open within the next week. And when dining at Lot 2, how about spreading some love by ordering a 6 pack for the kitchen. Call 402.504.4200 to hold a table or go to www.lot2benson.com for more information.

Happening downtown, soon to open in early June on the corner of 12th and Mike Fahey is Blatt Beer and Table. Owned by the Flagship Restaurant Group, this upscale pub with continental fare and good beer will have a 2nd floor fresh air beer garden with views into the TD Ameritrade Stadium. Blatt is located at 604 N. 12th Street in the same building as the new Zesto’s.
