Antique and Garden Show

Sept. 24-26 Antique and Garden Show Lauritzen Gardens, 100 Bancroft St. Fri.-Sat. 10 a.m.-6 p.m., Sun. 10 a.m.-5 p.m. $10; $25 for Five Minutes to Fabulous w/ Julia Knight, 346.4002 omahaantiqueshow.org lauritzengardens.org With fall officially marking the calendar, flora, a little fauna and a for-sure helluva a good time means a day spent at the urban oasis that is Lauritzen Gardens. Don’t take that last thought for granted, as the annual fundraiser for Omaha’s botanical center brings in more than enough entertainment for the whole family. And in addition to the 100 acres of lush gardens, let your inner interior designer be unleashed when you find that 19th century commode for your living room this Friday through Sunday when Lauritzen hosts its annual antique show with nearly three dozen vendors from across the country setting up shop. One special happening in conjunction with the antique show is a wine and cheese event, dubbed “Five Minutes to Fabulous,” to be held Sept. 24, 4 p.m.-6 p.m., featuring tableware designer Julia Knight — the $25 cost includes admission to other weekends events, and the first 150 ticket holders get a four-inch bowl from Knight’s collection.
