Aetherplough presents Full Circle

Sept. 25 Aetherplough presents Full Circle Metropolitan Community College, 32nd and Sorensen Pkwy. Sacred Hoop Prayer Garden, 4-10 p.m., $10, aetherplough.com As the leaves start to turn vibrant hues of orange, yellow and red, the autumn equilux sets in just a few days after the autumn equinox. “Equilux” simply means “equal light” and to commemorate the occasion, the aetherplough collective celebrates with an event corresponding to its mission to “create, produce and present.” The Full Circle affair is packed with artistic explorations. The performance portion features Kirsten Kluver, Thom Sibbitt and choreographer Wai Yim along with a dance ensemble. “Full Circle is a celebration of the transition from the binary male/female, us/them, past/present to the all-encompassing whole,” Kluver explained. “With movement of land dance, story and music, we encourage those who witness to partake in the transmission to heal our separateness and create our new myth.” The post-show dance erupts with live percussion and fire spinning to welcome the change in season.
