A new study released by the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration Dec. 9 shows that one in five Nebraskans has driven while under the influence of alcohol in the past year — the third highest rate in the country. The Omaha Public Schools board voted unanimously to put metal detectors outside certain OPS basketball games this winter.
