Crumbs: 2012 Omaha Hospitality Hall of Fame

The Omaha Hospitality Hall of Fame was created to recognize those who have given significant contributions to the hospitality industry in Omaha. Past inductees have had success as restaurant owners, chefs, food educators, food writers, purveyors and many other food related careers. Nominees into the Hall of Fame are put forth before a committee mostly comprised of past inductees and board members from the Omaha Restaurant Association. Once selected, new inductees are honored at a banquet and become one of the many faces on the Hall of Fame wall of inductees, which is located at the Institute of Culinary Arts, North Omaha campus.

This weekend is the Riverfront Wine Festival at Aksarben Village from 4:00p.m. to 8:00p.m. Friday and Saturday nights, August 24 and 25. There will be over 200 wines to sample, craft beers and free wine seminars. Included also, will be live jazz music and lots of people to mingle with while you chat about wine. If wine is your thing then grab a ticket at Corkscrew Wine and Cheese or at Wohlner’s Grocery and at the event door. Your attendance supports the Junior League of Omaha’s A Book of My Own Program.
