Hullabaloo Music Festival unveils lineup

* Hullabaloo Music Festival's 2014 lineup hits a widely diverse array of acts, all tied together by local jam/blues rock kings the Kris Lager Band. The fourth edition of Hullabaloo is scheduled for Thursday, July 24th through Saturday, July 26th at Sokol Park, 905 Allied Road in Bellevue. The festival will also include national performers including Kentucky rap group Nappy Roots, bluegrass jam band Cornmeal, blues guitarist Carolyn Wonderland. funk-soul group Sophistafunk, Utah-based indie act Desert Noises and singer/songwriter Patrick Sweany. The festival's local acts cover plenty of ground too, ranging from the indie rock of Universe Contest to the grooves of Funk Trek. For more information, visit hullabaloomusicfestival.com.

* Capgun Coup's Sam Martin will release A Notion in an Ocean on local record label Make Believe Recordings in the fall. A music video for the lead track "Bye Bye" premiered on BrooklynVegan.com and features Martin submerged in a bubble bath and then out in a field in a long, long black cloth. It serves as a subdued, but off-kilter teaser for the record.

* Junkstock will once again host a lineup of music, alongside their sprawling assortment of antique, vintage and salvage good vendors for their latest Junkstock installment, running Friday, June 20th to Sunday, June 22nd. Performers include John Larsen, Banjo Loco, Matt Cox Band, Brad Hoshaw, Bad Country and the Prairie Gators Band. Junkstock takes place at 315 South 192nd St and admission is $5 each day.

* For other cities to experience See Through Dresses, Omaha must go without during the entire month of June. The local indie rock trio will take off on a monthlong southeastern and East Coast tour Friday, May 30th at O'Leaver's Pub, 1322 South Saddle Creek Road.
