Timely Arrival of End Days Play

So why am I touting a staged reading of End Days on a weekend when Jersey Boys just opened at the Orpheum and Babes in Toyland is underway at Chanticleer in Council Bluffs, not to mention that Chicago and Children of Eden add to the musical menagerie next weekend at the Omaha Community Playhouse and Bellevue Little Theatre?

Mysteries Return Minus Flood Water

If you were absent from Omaha all summer, the daily gave you a measure of the rising Missouri River in a series of photos that showed the flood water climbing ever higher on the Salute to Labor statue of workmen, a site seen from Rick’s Boatyard Café.

Luke Fears Adam’s Fall to Hell

Next Fall isn’t a title that compels you to rush to the theater. But it’s a play by Geoffrey Nauffts that earned a review that sounds like must-see drama coming to SNAP! Productions Friday at 3225 California            Todd Brooks produces and directs the play featuring Luke, a man of traditional faith in God, and Adam, played by Thomas Lowe. According to a blurb from Brooks, “Adam is not sure what he believes.”
